Jaya Guru Datta,

Here is today's saying:

“If you want to win the grace of God . . . I will give you a subtle clue. You

visualize that God exists in everything - both in movable and immovable objects

.. . . never doubt that God is here only and not there. God is all-pervasive . .

.. He is everywhere. One must never feel that God exists only in the temples or

in the places of worship.

Once, an old man was lying down with his legs stretched towards an idol.

Namadeva, a great devotee, saw this and asked him, 'Sir, please stretch your

legs on another side.' The old man said, 'I am very weak. You please turn my

legs to some other side.' To whichever side the old man's legs were turned, the

idol was seen there. Namadeva realized that the old man was a great soul and

apologized to him. God manifested and blessed Namadeva. You take the essence

of the incident described here with reference to the context.

God, the Supreme Soul, assumes the forms of all the creatures. He touches,

hears, speaks, eats breathes and so on through several senses. Hence, one must

always feel that it is only God who takes all the forms . . . the aspect of the

Supreme Soul is existent in everyone."
