Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Chandra sent me this link http://www.netropolis.org/peej/horo.cgi to find my birth star or Nakshatra about three years ago. Now that many people are filling out their pledge forms from the Guru Gayatri Mantra, I thought I would forward this to the list. You fill out a form and it generates a chart which includes your Nakshatra and Rasi You will need to know what time you were born in India Standard Time. For those of you who know the time difference between your location and Mysore, this is the same. All of India is on the same time zone. For those of you in America, add 13.5 hours to Pacific Time, 12.5 hours to Mountain Time, 11.5 hours to Central Time and 10.5 hours to Eastern Time. If you are somewhere else or have questions about daylight savings time, you can find out what you need at http://greenwichmeantime.com You will also need your birth city's longitude and latitude. For the Americans, MIT's latitude/longitude search engine is a link you will find there. One note: you will need to spell out things like Saint as in Saint Louis, as opposed to using the usual St. Louis. The Astrodienst Zurich search engine sounds like it is better for Europeans.
