Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “Self-unfoldment is a man's birthright . . . To achieve self-unfoldment, man has to cultivate and observe certain disciplines . . . First, man should cleanse himself of all sins by and through tapas or severe austerities for regulating the body, mind and intellect. Second, man should acquire calmness and tranquility, that is, the capacity to remain undisturbed by anything that may happen outside or inside. Third, man must free himself from all attachments at all levels. It is attachment that creates samsaara and binds man to the cycle of births and deaths. Fourth, and the most important quality to be acquired, is to be convinced that sense-gratifications available in the world are fleeting and are the wombs of misery, and to have a burning desire to obtain that joy which is beyond time and passes all understanding. Attainment of this timeless joy is the culminations of Self-Unfoldment.
