Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “Worldly life is like an endless ocean. In it lives a terrible crocodile 'Kaala' (Time or death) which is ever ready to swallow anyone who is caught in the ocean in which gigantic waves called 'raaga' (Passion) are waiting. 'Moha' (Illusion) will be rising every moment and drown the unwary. It is a frightening experience which almost everyone born in this world has to undergo. No one can escape from this fear. There is one thing which causes fear even to this fear. It is the divine name of the Lord. Just as it is the nature of fire to burn when one touches it knowingly or unknowingly, the invisible power inherent in the Lord's divine name, when uttered, dispels fear. The worst fear is the fear of death, whether one utters it consciously or unconsciously. Those who have 'seen' the form behind the name, have declared its glory thus, 'bhayakrit bhayanaasanah'- that is, the Divine name is the cause of both fear and destruction. When one is caught in the whirlpool in the ocean of 'finitude and change' the only safe and sound means to come out of that deadly pool, is the chanting or utterance of any of the Lord with absolute faith and unwavering devotion. If you cannot do it now, you can never do it later. Where is the guarantee you will be alive the next moment?"
