Sa.njaya uvaacha:

 

Evam uktvaarjunaH saN^khye rathopastha upaavishat /

visR^ijya sashara.n chaapa.n shokasa.n vigna maanasaH

//

 

Sanjaya said:

 

Having spoken in this manner in the midst of the

battle-field, Arjuna, casting away his bow and arrows

and distressed with sorrow, sat on the seat of the

chariot.

Thus in the Upanishad of the Bhagavad Gita, the

knowledge of Brahman, the science of Yoga and the

dialogue between Sri Krishna and Arjuna, ends the

first discourse entitled 'Arjuna Vishada Yoga' -

The yoga of the Despondency of Arjuna.
