Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “Some of us are suffering and are victims of misery, disease, worry, poverty etc. we think that God has created all these troubles for us and hence, we develop a feeling of grudge against Him. “Though we have been devoted to Him and pious as well, He is doing injustice to us, while He has been showering happiness on many others who do not remember Him”-this is how many people become indifferent to God and even go to the extent of abusing (ninda) Him. There are some, who even go a step further and say, 'I will not worship God hereafter. I will stop visiting temples and meeting saints.' This is sheer foolishness and arrogance. Does God, who creates and sustains all the three worlds, ever require our flowers, our water and our fruits for His livelihood? Is God in need of financial help and worship? What is it that God will get by our japa, tapa, homa, puja, bhajan etc. whatever religious/spiritual practices we pursue – they are all meant to purify ourselves. It is not God who gets enriched by our devotion, instead, it is we who get enriched. This should be clearly borne in mind." Do not implicate God with your problems. Our sufferings are due to our past karmas (actions). We have to learn to accept happiness and sorrow as fruits of our past actions and exhaust them by experiencing them with dignity and composure."
