Guest guest
Thanks to all that have given their comment to the group as well as to me personally. Be it as it may. To me personally, in any case buying shares and options is worse than buying lottery tickets, as by doing so (buying shares and options), one is playing with the heads of people: Worldwide employees are being dismissed just in order to please the share holders, even if after a short time new employees have to be hired. Human beings should be respected in their dignity and should be more important than money. In case i´ve become a little bit too political, i apologize. And i promise trying not to ask questions like this one too often ... Sri Guru Datta Carolin
Guest guest
Thank you Win, you have chosen a good quote to conclude this subject: "If we get rid of pride and prejudice and develop love and devotion to guru our attachment to mundane things will be cut off. Guru-kripa enlightens us to distinguish between good and evil and to select the right path for salvation and release from bondage." Guest guest
JGD I think, underneath this question lies a bigger problem or question: what do I consider as good or bad in my life, for my development. Is there any „greyscale“ between these pair of opposites. And who is giving the answer inside of me. >From the highest point of view there will be no good and bad at all - because everything is inbedded in god. That is, what one realizes in Samadhi, what was Shri Ramakrishnas experienced, when he was meditating with gold in one hand and clay in the other one and saw everything is in its substance Mother Kali and has no difference, or as a vedantin would say: everything is the self. OK. this is my belief, but not my personal experience. >From the psychological view, if you dive into that what you learnt from your parents, your judgements will be influenced by the input what you got from them. And that can be hidden deeply in the subconscious. Even though you would say: not in my case, I am sure, there will be the mother or father inside of you giving ideas on topics. Evaluation, as Pradyumna says, is a very good thing, but it will only work if not only the intellect comes to a certain result, but also the feelings will agree to the result. Even though the mental layer is superior to the emotional layer, if feelings do not agree to your mental result - it won’t work! On the childs level: Mom or Dad is not agreeing, so on a deep emotional level the consideration of things will still be under their influence. If you are born to parents with a certain spiritual standard, everything will be accompanied with caring, open love. If not, there will be a lot limitations on both levels, emotionally and mentally. Sentences starting with "You shouldYou must", be sure, your inner parents are talking. Again: who is giving the answer inside of me. There might be a need for a psychological research, before a satisfying answer comes. And your answer might be different from that of others... (Of course before we come to the vedantic solution of that question) So far, my mother tongue is german, please pardon me for mistakes in language.
