The Body Cannot Be 'I'

Here is today's saying:

 

5.“The above points make it clear that just as a piece of wood burns when it

comes in contact with fire, the body will function only when it comes in contact

with ‘I’. When the fire is extinguished, only the log of wood remains.

Similarly, when the ‘I’ is separated from the body, the body remains inactive.

Now, after seeing from so may angles, is it not clear that the body cannot be

‘I’.

 

If so, who am ‘I’?
