Verse 23

 

Naina.n chhindanti shastraaNi naina.n dahati paavakaH

/

na ch'aina.n kledayanty aapo na shoshhayato maaruta.n

//

 

Weapons cannot cut, fire cannot burn, water cannot wet

and wind cannot dry up this Self.

 

Verse 24

 

Achchhedyo'yam adaahyo'yam akledyo'shoshhya eva cha /

nituaH sarvagataH sthaaNuh achalo'ya.n sanaatanaH //

 

This Self cannot be cut, cannot be burnt, cannot be

wetted and also cannot be dried up. Changeless,

all-pervading, stable, immovable and eternal is this
