Jaya Guru Datta,

Here is today's saying:

“In the previous lessons, we understood that the body, the sense organs, the

mind and the intellect are not 'I'.

Shall we then say that Prana (life force) is 'I'?

After all, the question about 'I' arises only if life (prana) is there. The

sense organs, the mind and the intellect -- all these function only if there is

Prana. Can we therefore conclude that the Prana is 'I'?

No. Consider the state of deep sleep (sushupti). In that state, Prana is very

much there. But there is no sensation. The thought of 'I' is not there too. We

have just said that the Indriyas function where there is Prana. Does it not

seem contradictory?"
