Guest guest
Jai Guru Datta! With the divine blessings of Sri Swamiji, we are performing "Laksha Kumkuma Archana" collectively on Friday, 17th May 2002 at 7:00 PM at Geeta Ashram. This worship consists of chanting "Sri Lalita Sahasra Nama Stotram" and performing Kumkuma Puja to Mother Goddess. This event approximately takes about 2 hr. 30 min. Importance of this day: This day happens to be the auspicious 'Sankara Jayanthi' - the birth day of Sri Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya - who is worshipped as incarnation of Lord Shiva and first Guru of recent times. It is a divine coincidence that the Sankara Jayanthi is also the birth day and the aradhana day (the day on which She attained Samadhi) of Matha Jaya Lakshmi - the mother and Guru of our beloved Sri Swamiji. Sri Jaya Lakshmi Matha is also worshipped as incarnation of Goddess Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi. More over, Friday is important day for the worship of Mother Goddess. So, by performing this Laksha Kumkuma Archana on that day, we are worshipping Mother Goddess and remembering Sri Jaya Lakshmi Matha also. You are all invited to participate in this event and make it a grand success. Please forward this mail to your family/friends who live in and around Minnesota.
