Here is today's saying:

 

“There is another point to be considered. This 'I' (ego) is being 'seen' by you

as you see- say for example- a tree or hill. That which is 'seen' cannot be the

'seer' (we understood this in the initial lessons).

 

One more point needs to be taken into account. This 'I' experiences pain and

pleasure. The ego feels-- 'I am happy' when there is pleasure and 'I am

unhappy' when there is pain. Pain and pleasure are the tendencies of samsaara

(mundane life). Can this 'I' (ego), which experiences the mundane pains and

pleasures be called the ultimate 'I' ?"
