Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “Of whom am I the 'seer'? How am I the 'seer'? If I am the seer of the intellect, am I in the buddhi? If I am in the buddhi, am I limited? If I am limited, do I have a beginning and an end? If I have a beginning and an end, do I have components? It is not so. But the manifestation of 'I' (the assertive I) is clearly taking place in the intellect. Therefore I feel that 'I am the doer'. If 'I' were to be the performer, then where are my desires? Where are my Indriyas? Where are the modifications? I am clear like the sun. But the buddhi is clear like a crystal. Therefore the buddhi shines only if 'I' am in the vicinity. But there is no effort whatsoever from my side in its shining. Therefore the relation between me and the buddhi is one of Aadhyaasika (illusory, a faulty perception of existence due to ignorance). Because of such faulty relation, it is generally thought that I am the drashta - 'seer', while in reality I am of the form of sachchidananda." In Sanskrit: Kasya drashtaaham noonam Kathamiva drashtaaham Budher drashtaa chet noonam Buddhaavasmi vaa?
