Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “The union between Buddhi and Atma is Aadhyaasika Samyoga. To think that certain qualities of one object are present in the other though they are not present is called Adhyaasa. In this context, when the Buddhi comes within the vicinity of Atma, ignorant people wrongly attribute the quality of self-luminousity to the intellect (whereas it is the quality of the Atma) and the quality of 'drashtratva' (observership) to the Atma (whereas it is the quality of the intellect). Therefore, the union is not real. It is only illusory. With this, we can appreciate that the quality of Drashtatva (observership) is imposed upon the Atma and that it is not real."
