Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “In the previous lesson we learnt that the observership of the Atma is not real, but wrongly imposed. To understand this better, let us look at it from a different angle. When we say that there is a seer, there must be something which is 'seen'. Consider the example of the sun. He shines on his own. When we keep an object in his light, it becomes 'seen'. Now we say that the sun is illuminating the object and we say that the sun is an illuminator. Let us analyse. Is there any extra effort by the sun in illuminating that object? Or, is it his wish? Or is he proud that he is illuminating an object? No! How can one, who has no wish, makes no effort and has no ego be called a 'doer'? Sun is in his place. An object was placed in the way of his light. Now the ignorant persons think that the sun is making the object shine. It means that depending upon the presence of the object, they impose 'doership' (that he is doing the work of illuminating that object) on the sun. Similar is the case with the Atma also."
