Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “When the influence of that karma which is responsible for the deep-sleep state sets in, the situation becomes somewhat different. The buddhi, which has experienced various stimuli both in the wakeful and dream states, will experience fatigue and abandons both these staes and loses its identity and drowns in ignorance. This itself is the deep-sleep state. It should be remembered that in the deep sleep state, the buddhi appears as though it ceases to have a separate identity. It does not cease to exist. Its state can be compared to the tree hidden inside a seed. It does not surface unless it is exposed to factors, which are suitable for the other two states(dream and wakeful state). When such a situation comes, the buddhi, like a germination seed, sprouts and attains the corresponding states."
