Sushupti Is Not Related To Me

Here is today's saying:

 

"Sushupti (deep sleep state) is similar to Mukti (liberation).

 

When the antah karana - on account of its karma - roams between dream and

wakeful staes, wearing different forms in different states, it becomes fatigued

and will ultimately rest. This state is called Sushupti.

 

When the antah karana is fatigued and detaches itself from the Indriyas as well

as their tendencites, it will drown itself in the ocean of ignorance just as a

tree hides itself inside a seed. This state is called Sushupti.

 

Again, this antah karana will assume a different state (wakeful or dream) on

account of its own karma. Therefore, Sushupti is not related to me who is of

the form of Sachchidananda."

 

In Sanskrit:

 

Vimukti sannibhaa

Sushuptitasti saa

 

Sadaiva jaagrati tathaiva svapnake

nitaanta charinee vibhinna veshagaa

Bahu shramaanvitaa yadaiva dheeriyam

viraama meehate svakramatastadaa 1

 

Jayadaa hi dheeriyam jahaati khaani cha

tadeeya samskriti rapi shramaaplutaa

Abodha saagare svayam hi majjitaa

sadankuraantare dharaajavat sthitaa 2

 

Yadaiva dheeriyam punashcha karmata

ssamiddha vikriya tadaiva jaagaram

Sameti vetarat tatassushuptira

pyasou na sachidaanandasya me mataa
