Jaya Guru Datta,

Here is today's saying:

“Conventionalists may pose another question here. 'Is it proper not to consider

Veda as a testimony when it comes to knowledge of the Self? Is it not through

the Vedas and Upanishads (which stem from the Vedas) that we come to know about

knowledge of the Self?'

Those who entertain such doubts are forgetting something. The knowledge that

'I' exist is there even to an illiterate and uneducated person. It is not only

those who have studied the Vedas that have this knowledge. Therefore, in

understanding that 'I exist', the Vedas are not testimonies."
