When you come into contact with the sadguru,He is there to remove the impurities of your mind which you have accumilated from birth after birth.Guru is like a laundry man. You give your dirty clothes to the laundry and you get them back cleaned. Same way,when you surrender or give yourself up to guru, He will cause the process of cleansing your mind.
