Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta! Hi! Every One! I am glad to share the below text with you all... !-------------------- On "How to Live?": For the sake of livelihood, each one should perform regularly and earnestly work which is not sinful. Leading one's life without causing distress to any living being is the highest principle of righteousness. Anyone who causes distress to another living being will surely have grief for himself. If one is successful in observing this principle, one is winner all around. Just as we extinguish fire with water, we have to overcome anger with fortitude, conquer untruth with truth, unrighteousness with righteousness and laziness with faith and hard work. Just as darkness is dispelled by light, we have to win over harshness with sympathy, miserliness with sacrifice, attachment to sensual pleasures with indifference and a feeling of differentiation with compassion. Just as we cross the sea by means of a boat, we can cross the worldly life with discrimination, overcome the deluded state of mind with meditation and yoga, and the world with courage. Just as a shower extinguishes the wild fire in a forest, the worldly concerns subside through devotion to God; hatred through love; fear of death through emancipation and ignorance through intellect. Do not obstruct anyone who is on the path of self-realisation, but help him as far as possible; Get over the obstacles in the way of one's own self-realisation. To liberate oneself and to help others get liberation is the substance of our religious philosophy. If anyone obstructs your way of self-elevation, remove the obstacle. ------------------ Make Today A Great Day! Sri Guru Datta! - Rama Janardhan "Always seeking Sadguru Feet..."
