Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “On account of the Samkalpa (resolve) of Ishwara, the Tamas-predominant Moola Prakriti takes the form of Avarana (covering) Shakti and Vikshepa (projecting) Shakti. That which veils the existing object and makes it invisible is called Avarana Shakti. That which causes the covered object to be perceived as something else by superimposing some other object on it is called as Vikshepa Shakti. In the example of rope and snake, that which prevents the observer to see the rope as a rope is the Avarana Shakti. That which consequently makes him feel that it is a snake is the Vikshepa Shakti. The Vikshepa Shakti itself is transformed as Sookshma Akasha (subtle space principle). From the Sookshma Akasha came the Sookshma Vayu (subtle air principle), from the Sookshma Vayu came the Sookshma Agni (subtle fire principle), from the Sookshma Agni came the Sookshma Jala (subtle water principle) and from the Sookshma Jala came the Sookshma Pritvi (subtle earth principle). These are called as Sookshma Bhootas (subtle elements). They are also called as 'Apancheekrita Bhootas', Tanmatras' and 'Bhoota Tanmatras. Because all these come from the Moola Prakriti, they also have the Trigunas, which are in the Moola Prakriti. >From the essence of these subtle elements, the five Indriyas originated."
