Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “Now let us understand the destiny of the Tamas aspect of the subtle Mahabhootas. First, bifurcate (split in half) each Bhoota (element). Retain the first half as it is and divide the second half into four equal parts. Now there are four bits of 1/8 parts. Follow the same scheme for each Bhoota. Let us consider the example of Prthvi (earth) Maha Bhoota. This contains 1/2 portion of earth and 1/8 portion of the remaining Bhootas. The second part of the Prthvi merges in the remaining four Bhootas. The same holds good for other Bhootas; the first half constitutes the particular Bhoota and the remaining half containg the other four Bhootas merges in those respective Bhootas. Because each Bhoota is formed out of all the five types of elements, they are called as Panchhekrita Bhootas (pancha = five). This process is called Pancheekarana."
