To think 'I am the body' 'I am John, I am Rama', etc. is Vipareeta Bhavana (perverse assumption). While Manana removes the Asambhavana, Nididhyasa removes the Vipareeta Bhavana. To combine Dhyana with the knowledge acquired by Shravana is 'Nididhyasa'. When Nididhyasa reaches mature stage, the notion that 'the body is I' will disappear and the knowledge-'I am Brahman' will set in. This itself is Aparoksha Jnana (direct knowledge). This itself is self-experience. This itself is Atma Samadhi. When this happens, Abhaanaavarana (namely, the thought - 'I do not know what Brahman is') will vanish."
