Here is today's saying:

 

“The knowledge acquired by reading books and listening to teachers is Paroksha

Jnana. This is also called as Shravana. This type of knowledge helps the

person to understand at the intellectual level that Jeeva and Brahma are not

different. It means that even in the absence of experience, one can logically

deduce the truth.

 

This is the greatest benefit that we get by studying Vedanta as a subject.

Study of Vedanta will remove 'Asatvaarana'. The student will then be certain

that 'Parabrahma exists; I may not be able to experience it; still, I am

certain that He exists.’”
