Guest guest
Chapter 4 Verse 37 Yath'aidhaansi samiddho'gnir bhasmasaat kurute'rjuna / jnaanaagnih sarva-karmaani bhasmasaat kurute tathaa // As a blazing fire reduces all fuel to ashes, so O Arjuna, does the fire of knowledge reduce all action to ashes. LESSONS FROM BHAGAVAD GITA – 43 As taught by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji “As a blazing fire reduces all fuel to ashes, so O Arjuna, does the fire of knowledge reduce all action to ashes.” A fully burning fire reduces a huge pile of wood to ashes without leaving a single piece. Similarly, all the actions, good as well as bad, done in the past and the present are consumed by the fire of knowledge and so are the effects arising out of those actions. As the fire of knowledge reduces all actions to ashes there remains not even a single action the effect of which can upset the doer of actions when it is experienced. That is the meaning of the destruction of actions. That means the doer of actions will be like one who has not done any action. Though a doer, he will be a non-doer. Even while performing actions, he will be in inaction because, after the acquisition of knowledge, the effects of all actions are destroyed, as they cannot produce any effects.
