Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, Here is today's saying: “Destroy the falsely created superimpositions with the help of the seven steps. 'I do not know who I am' this thinking is ignorance (1). To argue that Atma does not exist at all is due to two kinds of Avaranas (2). Samsara, which is the resultant of Chidaabhaasa (the jeevi who has Dehabhimana – notion that he is the body) itself is Vikshepa (projected) (3). Tattva bodha (imparting of knowledge), by others itself is Paroksha Jnaana. (4) By meditating upon the Paroksha Jnaana, one gets Aparoksha Jnaana. (5) When Adhyaropa becomes abolished with the help of Aparoksha Jnaana, one will be free from the misery of Samsaara. (6) At the same time, Atma Darshana (self realisation) will also set in. Therefore, what results then is Akhanda Ananda (uninterrupted bliss). (7) Thus, with the help of the seven steps, Sat-Chit-Ananda is achieved.” In Sanskrit: Mithyaa kalpita maaropam Sapta kramanairapaa kuru Naaham jaane maamityetat Vibudhah pravadan tyajnaanam Naivaastyaatmaa adrisyatvaad iti Vaadashchaavriti yugmam tat Api cha chidaabhaasasya tu kaaryam Samsaaraakhyam vikshepah Taatvika bodha para sampraaptaa Bhavati Paroksha jnaanam hi Teevra Paroksha jnaana dhyaanaat Syaadaparoksha jnaanam hi Tajnaadaaropana vidhwamsaat Samsriti duhkha nivrittissyaat Tatsama kaalam nija darshanata Syaadaananda praaptishcha Saptabhirevam sopaanaistu Siddhyati sachidaanandatvam Sri Swamiji Journey In To The Self (Lessons in Vedanta) Volume II pp. 37 - 38 Sri Guru Datta, Swamiji Says ________ Win a First Class Trip to Hawaii to Vacation Elvis Style! http://r.lycos.com/r/sagel_mail/http://www.elvis.lycos.com/sweepstakes
