LESSONS FROM BHAGAVAD GITA – 48 As taught by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji “The well-poised, abandoning the fruit of action, attains peace born of discipline (of Karma Yoga.) The unbalanced one, attached to fruits on account of desire, is bound.” By renouncing the results of work, one who is steadfast in his faith carries on the work with this conviction: “I work for the sake of God and not for my gain.” Such a yogi attains peace called liberation born of discipline whose stages are mental purification, acquisition of knowledge, renunciation of all actions and steadfastness in knowledge. On the other hand, he who is lacking in faith, being attached to result, performs the work with the thought: “I am doing this work for my gain.” He thus acts selfishly under the impulsion of desire. As he gets attached to the fruit, he is bound. HotJobs - Search Thousands of New Jobs http://www.hotjobs.com
