Guest guest
Chapter 5 Verse 17 Tad.h-buddhayas tad-aatmaanas tan-nishhthaas tat-paraayanaah / gachchhanty apunar-aavritti.n jnaana-nirdhuuta-kalmashhaah // Those who have their intellect absorbed in That, whose Self is That, who are established in That, who have That as their goal, their impurities washed away by knowledge, they go to that plane from where there is no return (Moksha).” LESSONS FROM BHAGAVAD GITA – 50 As taught by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji “Those who have their intellect absorbed in That, whose Self is That, who are established in That, who have That as their goal, their impurities washed away by knowledge, they go to that plane from where there is no return (Moksha).” The intellect of those who have realized the Self, the Supreme Truth, is absorbed in That (Supreme Truth). Knowledge of the Supreme Self alone is ever awake in their mind and nothing else. That means their mind ever remains fixed on the Highest Lord, the Supreme Self (Tadbuddhayah). Secondly, they have that Supreme Brahman itself as their own Self (Tadatmanah.) Third, they have become steadfast in the Supreme Self, which is Brahman, by renouncing all actions (Tannishtah). And fourth, the acquisition of the Supreme Truth is the only goal of their life (Tatparayanah). Thus the self-realized sages delight solely in the Self. As their ignorance of the Self has been destroyed by knowledge, they will have no more embodiments. The idea is that the knowledge of the Self destroys the sins that engender transmigratory life.
