Kaama-krodha-viyuktaanaa.n yateenaa.n yata-chetasaam /

abhito brahma-nirvaanam vartate vidit'aatmanaam //

 

The peace of Brahman is everywhere for the

self-restrained ascetics, who have shed lust and anger

and realized the Self.

“The peace of Brahman is everywhere for the

self-restrained ascetics, who have shed lust and anger

and realized the Self.”

 

To the ascetics who are not tempted by the objects of

desires and who keep themselves safe from anger,

greed, jealousy, infatuation, and pride, the peace of

Brahman or absorption in Brahman (Brahman Nirvana) is

everywhere. The term ‘everywhere’ is used here in the

sense of whether living or dead.
