Guest guest
Dear Friends, Jai Guru Datta. Sri Guru Datta. Such is the Kali Yuga that we find ourselves in a world filled with snipers, bombs, and other acts of violence. I felt resigned to accept the world as it is, only witnessing the maya, but asked myself how one person might respond in a way that did not reinforce the negative. As corny as it sounds, I remembered the "Random Acts of Kindness" concept and thought about how that might fit with Sri Swamiji's teachings of Kindness, Compassion, and Love. I thought that for every victim of the D.C. sniper, I could consciously respond with an act of kindness, compassion, or love. I encourage other devotees to join me. It does not need to be big...it could be a simple prayer or a smile for a stranger. It would be a nice way to counter the hatred with love. Om Shanti.
