Even among all the Yogis, he who worships Me with mind

fixed in Me, full of faith, is in my opinion, the most

steadfast.

Thus in the Upanishads of the Bhagavad Gita, the

knowledge of Brahman, the scripture of yoga and the

dialogue between Sri Krishna and Arjuna, ends the

sixth discourse entitled 'DHYANA YOGA" - The Yoga of

Meditation.

LESSONS FROM BHAGAVAD GITA – 66

As taught by Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji

"Even among all the Yogis, he who worships Me with

mind fixed in Me, full of faith, is in my opinion, the

most steadfast" (Chapter 6, Verse 47).

The Lord makes it clear in this verse that Yoga

without devotion to the Lord cannot help anyone to

achieve realization. Hence the Lord points out the

three important qualities of a Yogi. First, he has

full faith in the Lord. Second, with his unwavering

faith he fixes his mind on the Lord and the third, he

worships the Lord wholeheartedly and becomes united

with Him.

Therefore, a true Yogi is a true Bhakta also. God is

love and wisdom. And so a Yogi becomes a lover of God

and a man of wisdom.

Thus ends the Sixth Chapter.
