Guest guest
My best Wishes to all Devotees on the happy occasion of Deepawali (Diwali) and to North Indian Devotees; Gujarati Devotees on the occasion of New Year. Jaya Guru Datta We are in Surat alon with Parama Pujya Sri Swamiji. Programs are going well. Sri Swamiji went for house visits in the morning. Some of the visits, near Ashram, moved every onw. The rural masses who are the back bone for Ashram's regular activities, sung soulfully some GUjarati Bhajans. Sri Swamiji was very very pleased. Tomorrow is the new year day for majority of North Indians, as most of them follow Barhaspatyamana. Kartika Suklaa Pratipat is the starting date for them. In GUjarat, we have seen for the first, how much they value this occasion, akin to westerner's New YEar eve celebrations. It starts with Dhan Trayohi, Danteras (Dhana Trayodasi previous day to Naraka Chaturdasi), Naraka Chaturdasi, Deepavali Amavasya, Nav Varsh. That will be followed by customary 3 day holiday for businesses. As revelling will take the toll of their energy, they will rest for 3 days before the workholic schedules (Business). THat is all for now. On Deepavali day, they perform Lakshmi Pujan and Sarada Pujan. That is for the evening. Jaya Guru Datta After new year's day message and Maha Darshan and Paduka Sparshan, His Holiness will leave Surat, tomorrow (5th Nov) after noon by a special flight to Bangalore.
