Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta ! Last night, I happened to listen to the latest release of swamiji's audio album "Shaankari" (released during Kumbhabhishekam of Marakatha Raja Rajeswari devi temple in Vijayawada) and would like to share my joy with the group.Though devotees are familiar with the bhajans in this cassette the album opens the doors to new heights. The cassette starts with a beautiful fast beat tune and for a moment one would wonder if they got the right cassette.Soon a magical, melodious yet powerful tone sings the famous bhajan "Manasa Mandira" and I'm sure no body can resist themselves from dancing to the tune. If you have heard about a place called "Gandharva Loka" (Abode of angels who are masters in Nada - the divine music) I'm sure you would land up there with the bhajan "Aim Hreem Sreem" - A super hit of Side A. Side B starts with Tvam Sadasivasi chaamba which has all the features of a typical Indian folk song. Hit of side B "Kamesi Vamesi" gives the melodious fusion of synthesizer and other instruments. The beauty of this song is One cannot make out if other instruments are used or the resounding synthesizer alone produced the sounds of many instruments) Finally the cassette ends with a soothing yet energizing "Sadanande Jo" and leaves you in a relaxed state of mind. One can experience the divine energy for a duration of one hour and am sure Shaankari is going to beat the records of Tripura. I suggest to use head phones to experience the beauty of tiny sounds also which are plenty in number. The text for these bhajans in both English & Telugu are available in Dattapeetham.com -> new additions -> Year 2000 Navrathri celebrations. Those of you who are yet to get this album, catch up fast or you will be left out. I bow to the lotus feet of our beloved Sadguru - The NADA BRAHMA and pray him for many more albums like this.
