We all know that Pujya Swamiji is scheduled to visit Trinidad & Tobago in June 2003 for His 61st Birthday Celebrations and the inauguration of a magnificent Temple Complex in Ashrama in Trinindad. On this auspicious occasion, a 100 ft. high Hanuman statue also will be inaugurated by His Holiness. We all will be thrilled to know, that the entire nation of Trinidad is involved in this Historic project. And Pujya Swamiji has reiterated several times, that after Mysore Ashrama, Trinidad is one of the most important centres in Datta Mission, espicially in western hemisphere. And that could be the reason, why Trinidad devotees have a chance to host Birth Day celebrations for second time. (And incidentally Trinidad is the only place to host Birthday Celebrations outside Mysore Ashrama) In this regard, we hear that many devotees are enquiring about, the procedure to visit Trinidad from India. Some devotees in Hyderabad are negotiating with Travel Agents and Airlines about the trip to Trinidad. Some information: a.. The cost of the tickets round trip is anywhere between 90,000 - 1 .25 Lakh depending on the route. b.. Principal route is Chennai/Bombay/Delhi - London - Port of Spain - London - Chennai/Bombay/Delhi c.. Alternate route for those wanting to join Sri Swamiji in US or planning a visit to US is Chennai/Bombay/ Delhi - London - Miami - Port of Spain - Miami - London - Chennai/ Bombay/ Delhi. Preliminary enquiries suggest that this could also cost the same as the previous plan or even cheaper. But, One requires US VISA in this route. d.. Trinidad is a tropical country, very humid and hot. Similar to Chennai. e.. Local currency One Trinidadian Dollar is equal to 8 Indian rupees.approximately. f.. Some of the devotees in Trinidad have plans to host some devotees. And the list of hotels will be available on website shortly. g.. To visit Trinidad, one has to obtain Visa from Trinidad Embassy Delhi. In light of this, Devotees from India may write to us, so that we can approach the airline or reputed travel agents to organise a tour or even give some concessions.
