Sub : My Total Hip Replacement Surgery

 

Dear Friends :

 

As most of you know for the past few years I have

been experiencing extreme discomfort & pain in my

right Hip Joint due to "Avascular Necrosis of the

Head of the Femur " leading to Oestoartharitis

of the entire right Hip Joint. Every step I took

to walk would induce pain in the entire right

leg. Of late sitting on a chair had become a

Herculean task, not to mention pain for other

movements. I had been converting my pain into

pleasure as it was Inevitable.

 

In 1998, when we came back to India, from

USA/Canada we asked Sri Swamiji as to when &

where I could undergo the Surgery to get rid of

the problem, That was the only solution given by

Orthopedic Surgeons. Sri Swamiji for some reason

(as I came to know much latter) would brush aside

my request and ask me to take a Panchakarma

treatment at the Ashrama Auryvedic Hospital.

This gave me relief but arrested my further

detrioration. I had pain relief only to certain

extent & that too for a short duration of time.

All the other time I would be on painkillers

which had its own side effects.

 

In March 2003 a team of Doctors led by One Dr.

Ken Samuelson of USA to India. He is the Inventor

of the famous FS Knee & Hip Joint used all over

the World. He was invited by Dr. Nithyananada Rao

an Orthopedic Surgeon in Mysore to conduct a

workshop of Total Knee & Hip Replacement. Dr N

Rao was the Doctor who had performed successfully

the Surgery on Sri Swamiji's arm, when He had

met with an Accident in 2001. Dr Rao had got the

Complement from World's leading Orthopedic

Surgeon in Swiss as a very competent Doctor.

 

Sri Swamiji told me it was now the time to get my

Operation done. No wonder He had asked me to

wait for a Good reason…! So I became the

demonstration case for this workshop…!

 

With Sri Swamiji's Divine blessings, I was

operated on 9th March, the Operation being shown

a large scale screen & watched by more than a 100

Orthopedic Surgeons from all over South India.

Gayathri ( My wife ) too watched it & said it

was similar to a carpentry shop procedure except

for the Blood. Fortunately my face was not shown

!! For my Operation the Head of the Femur has

been replaced with a Titanium head & Shaft that

goes into the Femur bone. Suitable load bearing

cups with lubricating layer has been put in place

for the head's for easy movement. My shortening

of the leg has been corrected. Now there is NO

more pain…. ! Come June 2003…. I should be able

to walk normally. At present I am at the end of

eight weeks of natural phys Therapy & showing

good results as per Dr. Rao.

I am walking walking & walking... !!!

 

Sri Swamiji's Healing Music has helped me heal

much faster & be as cheerful as ever…! It was

His guiding light that has led our way to go

through this whole process like a knife cutting

butter….. ! It was so easy that I felt it was

dream. We are ever so much thankful to Sri

Swamiji.

 

Prior to this... ever since 1998, when we came

to India... It has been Sri Swamiji as a sailent

Master who has been helping me.. It was He who

developed an attitude in me To Convert all my

pain into pleasure & have a possitive outlook at

everything.. I was wondering how am I doing

this..
