Guest guest
"...We cannot interpret properly because our minds refuse to accept all this intellectual drama. The easy method to reach Him is through Bhajans. Then there is Vedanta, which is the final path. It is discussive in nature and is quite interesting. The result is a big waste of time. That is why Nama Sankeertana is the best method. Silence yourself and sing internally. Don't hurt any one else. Look after yourself and see God everywhere. His plays are complicated and we cannot comprehend all that...." (from Sri Swamiji's discourse Woodman CenterHuntsville, Alabama, USA 5th August 2003, Tuesday) So do i understand correctly, even Nama Sankeertana is useful only if combined with silencing oneself, not only outwardly, but silencing one´s thoughts, wishes, etc, with Ahimsa - not hurting anyone, not even with one´s thoughts and with seeing God everywhere? so in this case these two paths Bhakti and Vedanta are very similar in my opinion, as in neither of them one can escape from silencing inwardly, being alone a lot (remember the maidens bangles), Ahimsa, non-violence (also in one´s thinking, not only in one´s deeds) and seeing God everywhere? the self inquiry in Vedanta serves the purpose of seeing God everywhere, so there´s not a lot of difference between the two? and singing without silencing oneself mentally , without ahimsa in words, deeds and thoughts and without seeing God everywhere will lead nowhere? Anyone any opinion? if so, please mail to either Dattavani or madeleineheiss JGD ps: to be silent, alone a lot, see maidens bangles in 24 teachers of Lord Datta, seems to mean to be without a cell phone, tv set, radio etc, internet during one´s being alone time, doesn´t it?
