Guest guest
Drops of Nectar, Bhakti Mala July 2002 Scholar: your presentation is wonderful. Where did you study? Yogi: I have not studied at all! The question 'where I studied' doesn´t arise at all. Scholar: If you have not studied at all, how is it that you are able to reveal the secrets of spiritual practice to so many disciples? Yogi: By studying which scripture did you learn to drink your mother´s breast milk? Scholar: IT comes naturally. Vedantic Sadhana is not something that comes naturally like that. Yogi: Even you are doing some Sadhana, haven´t you? How are you doing it? Are you doing it by completely excluding nature? Scholar: We see, we listen, we study, we think. After all this, we do some Sadhana. How can you say that such a Sadhana is entirely a natural process? Yogi: with the help of which faculty are you seeing, listening, studying and thinking? Scholar: With the help of the mind. Yogi: What I did was, I forgot the mind completely. Immediately Mother Goddess taught me lessons. Scholar: Why is it that she doesn´t teach us? Yogi: You have great determination when it comes to studying. However, you don´t possess similar focus on 'That' which is explained in what you study. You have great respect for the scriptures. But you don´t have the same respect for Mother Goddess. You don´t have the conviction that Mother Goddess will teach you one day or the other. Indeed you offer prayers to Her But you don´t have the patience to wait till it fructifies!! Jai Guru Datta
