Question: Does the Guru choose the disciple, or the disciple chooses the

Guru?

Can the disciple test the Guru? Can the disciple change the Guru?

Answer: Both the possibilities are there. It is better if the choice is made

by the Guru, best if made by the disciple. It all depends on the

circumstances. A disciple may test the Guru before initiation, and not after

initiation by

the Guru whom he accepts.

One can change the Guru or can have initiation from another Guru if the first

Guru has taken Samadhi [ i.e. Mahasamadhi, has left His body], or if He has

permitted the devotee to do so, in order to supplement his knowledge.
