Guest guest
> Devotees may participate in this vow by being silent from Sunrise to Sun > Set. Jayagurudatta, there is an interesting hint from Sri Swamiji as to how devotees should observe this vow, in the Shiva Kathamritam book, p. 58 :the vow should also refer to one´s refraining from negative thoughts: "...However, unless one is sincere in achieving mental transformation, the mere external rituals observed as a routine may lead one to more complications. Some people observe the vow of silence (Mauna) externally but their mind always thinks evil. What is the use of such a hypocritical show? ...."
