Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

I want to share with everybody our Christmas and New Year programs. Sir

Parama Pujya Swamiji has already celebrated Christmas in a big way in Mysore.

Here in Baton Rouge Datta Temple we will be haveing a program on Christmas

night starting at 7:00PM and ending at 8:30PM. We will be chanting mantras for

peace,namely SHANTI MANTRAS. These Mantras are also called DASHA SHANTI

MANTRAS. They come from Yajurveda. Other Shanti Mantras will also be chanted.

Namely

the following Mantras will be chanted,

1. SADGURU SLOKAS AND DHYANAM:Seeking the blessings of Sadguru

2. DASHA SHANTI MANTRAS:Being chanted for world peace

3. TAITTIRIYA UPANISHAT (SEEKSHA VALLI):we are offering these prayers to the

Sacred Padas of His Holliness Sri Swamiji so that we may get good meditation

energy and Sadbuddhi(good thinking)

4. OTHER SANTHI MANTRAS:Mantras are starting like this,

PRUTHIVISANTA SAAGNINASANTA SUCHAGUM SAMAYATU.....

Translation for entire mantra: Peace on Earth,Peace on Fire,Peace on

Universe,Peace on Wind,Peace on Sun and Moon,Peace to the Ten

Directions(includeing

sky and earth),Peace on Stars,Peace on Medicines and Foods,Peace on all Sentient

Beings,Peace on Brahma,Peace on Brahmins,Peace on Peace

With the grace of Sri Swamiji the whole world can get peace....

Guru Pada Puja includeing regular schedule 8:00-8:30PM.Followed by

Kakadaharthi and Prasadam.
