Guest guest
Aren´t we all terribly proud about our forms of worship? the Sookti from Sookti Manjari May 2004 is one of my favorites. don´t we all know these phenomena: the pompous ones, including myself, as posting to the list is but another way of pompousness if you like, the ones that on the other hand take pride in not being pompous, but following Sri Swamiji for so many years, despite poor? (Hasn´t He recently said that being a senior devotee alone is not sufficient...)the ones that think social service is the most superior worship, the ones that take pride in not worshipping publicly, but only in solitude, the ones claiming not to want anything in return, thus feeling superior to others, the ones claiming to worship the infinite, as idol worship is only for the masses, ... it is such a great great Sookti, as it applies to all of us...no need for any superiority or inferiority complexes. the highest Darshan would be if we could get rid of our egos, so that The Almighty/Guru could bless us with His permanent presence even while not physically present. But for this we all still have a long way to go... if you have a chance, also read the Sri Datta Dhyaana Maalika of May Bhaktimala, on our constant urge to divide everything and everyone into inferior and superior...
