Balalayam Program

Jaya Guru Datta!!!

 

Dear All Datta Devotees,

I hope that with the Grace of Sri Swamiji that everyone will do fine this new

year.

I am takeing this opportunity to announce about Balalayam Program held on

this past Thursday and Friday(1/6/05 and 1/7/05).

upon entering the Temple now, instead of the usual site of the various

Vigrahas(Idols), one will notice that there is a new peetham sitting in the

middle

of the floor of the Temple. This new peetham contains the Kalashas in which the

Shakti of the Vigrahas that are on the Altar has been transfered through

various rituals as described in the Aagama Shatras. Also found there are other

entities which have been charged with protective Mantras to protect the Main

Kalashas under this new canopy. As before, we have the same Deities present in

the

Temple, such as, Kshipra Ganapathi, Dram Dattatreya and Anagha Devi and

Sachidanandeshwara Swami(Shiva). All are sitting on the raised area under a

canopy.

They are surronded by various protective entities. Starting with the four

corners and moving in a clockwise direction:

1.ESHANYA(NorthEast) is the first corner which holds Eshanya and the

NAVAGRAHA MANDALA.

2.AGNEYA(SouthEast) is the second corner which holds Agneya and CHATUSHASTHI

YOGINI MANDALA.

3.NIRURUTI(SouthWest) is the third corner which holds Niruruti and VASTU

MANDALA.

4.VAYAVYA(North West) is the fourth corner whih holds Vayavya and

KSHETRAPALAKA MANDALA.

Inbetween these four corners are Kalashas that act as the Dwaras(Gates).

1. East entrance: PURVA DWARA

2.South entrace: DAKSHINA DWARA

3. West entrance: PASCHIMA DWARA

4. North entrance: UTTARA DWARA

Protection for the whole group of Devatas is the responsibility of KSHETRA

PALAKA(Protection) YANTRA MANDALA called SARVATOBHADRAMANDALA.

This is what has been happening in the Temple for the last two days so that

construction of GuruNilayam and some minor changes to the Temple can be

completed. This is only a brief explanation of what has been going on.

This ceremony was performed by Sri Sreenivas Sastry, Sri Daulat Sthanki, Sri

Suri Duvvuri and Myself. With the Grace of our Benevolent Sadguru Sri

Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji everything went very well.

Friday evening after Purnahuti the rain came down in buckets. What an

auspicious sign.

Everybody must pray to our Sadguru and worship to Surya(Sun) on Poongal day

which is Friday January,14th(MAKARA SANKRANTI).Uttarayana starts this day.
