Guest guest Posted March 16, 2005 Report Share Posted March 16, 2005 Jaya Guru Datta I share the feelings of Sri Hanumanji on this subject.Let me add,why are we really following Sri Swamiji?? .In Trinidad recently Sri Swamiji surprised the audience and asked this same question "why are you really following Swamiji".One could have sensed the uneasiness when Sri Swamiji randomly began to select devotees to respond.I tell you there was some stammering and stuttering.Make no mistake about His Holiness Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda,if you are not sure who Sri Swamiji is, don't listen to anyone, listen to all of His music, sing all of His Bhajans, practise Kriya Yoga and read His discouses over the many years .Chant His Shata Shloki Ramayan,heed His advice to read ONE PAGE of Bhagvad Gita every day and when you are finished with all of the above,which you never will,then advise fellow devotees about Tantric stuff.I don't know that this List Server was set up for this purpose. May I ask you a question from your perspective, WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING SWAMIJI? My question really here is CAN'T YOU FOLLOW SRI SWAMIJI with out doing the following? listen to all of His music sing all of His Bhajans practise Kriya Yoga Read His discouses over the many years Chant His Shata Shloki Ramayan Heed His advice to read ONE PAGE of Bhagvad Gita every day All I do is nothing of the above just follow blindly... whenever I see Swamiji, well everyday(at least his photograph) I just say the three magic sentences (Sri ganesayana maha...***) three times and for me they are equal to all of the ones which mentioned above. For me that is the thantra, the manthra and everything..... Can somebody kindly enlighten me if my way is wrong?????? I know I am bit confused but could somebody clear this confusion, Am I going in a wrong path? Just have Sri Swamiji in your mind , no matter what you are doing (either good/bad/holy/unholy etc). Just have Sri Swamiji's image in your mind.If you can do it 24 X 7 , that will be superb. If you can do this as naturally as your breating , everythig else will follow automatically.Offcourse this will need lot of courage, but no harm in trying it out. This will teach you how to follow. I think following has to come from within not by imitating others. This was my approach in my association with Sri Swamiji. "it is said and a prooven fact that Lord Dattatreya is pleased just by remembering him. Even if one does not know how or why to follow Sri Swamiji , it is absolutely OK. Just by having Sri Swamiji's image in your mind,Sri Swamiji will clarify you on how and why to follow him. This clarification need not be verbal , can be through any medium." But if you want to move closer to understanding datta tattva and Sri Swamiji's tattva, you have to work towards it. The words coming out of Sri Swamiji's mouth is divine nectar. Not only are the words most useful in our spiritual path, but also healthy and hassle free daily life. As for the bhajans, there is lot of tattva in them. For the music, it has the powers, not only to heal your diseases, but also the powers to make you think in the right direction. it removes all negative attitudes if any. As for Kriya yoga. It teaches us healthy living apart from understanding of our body system, the energy systems. Kindly note that what was mentioned is only a miniscule of the actual purpose of each mode of expression of His Holiness.
