SIVA SATI VILASATI MAMA HRUDI TAVA BHAA PASUPATI MATI MATI RAMAYATI KILAYA 1. VIKASATI SARSAI JA MAYI MAYI SADAYE SRAVATI CHA MADHURASAMIHA MAMA HRUDAYE SADAYE UDAYE VIJAYE ABHAYE 2. ANUPADAMUDAYATI NIJA SUKHAMABHAYE AVAGATI VAPURAHAMITI HRUDI KALAYE SAMADE DAMADE VIMADE PRAMADE 3. SUMANASA RANJANI RAAGA NILAYE SACHCHIDAANANDAIRAHAMIHA VIJAYE VIJAYE VIMALE VINUTE VANITE =================================== (Oh!) SIVA + SATI = Lord Siva's + consort (Godess Paarvati) tava = your bha = radience (is) vilasati = dwelling mama = my hrudi = heart pati = Lord of pasu = animals (man is an animal too) (is) ramayati = enjoying (sporting) mati mati = in every mind (of humans) kilaya = verily [i am not confident of this pasupati stanza! It could have other meaning. It could be "(you are) ramayati = enchanting (the mind of) pasupati = Lord Siva's mati = mind mati = ? kilaya = verily /playfully] {OR pasupati's matimati[intellect(first mati); second mati is to assert femenine gender of the word) kilaya = in the (divine) play; ramayati = enjoying]} 1. sarasi + ja+mayi = Oh! the one who is like the lous [ja = the one which is borne ;sarasi = in the lake---->meaning the lotus flower] sa+daye = with mercy mayi = on me vikasati = blissfully dwelling /unfolding (of a flower) iha = this way cha = in addition madhu + rasam = essence/juice of nectar [madhu = nectar or honey] sravati = is pouring mama = in my hrudaye = heart { Due to the godess dwelling in my heart, the unfolding of lotus flower (which is my heart) resulted in outpouring honey (that typicaly is available in the flowers and attracts the flys/moths} sa+ daye = Oh! you have lot of kindness and mercy udaye = Oh! you are inculcating jnana/wisdome in our minds vijaye = Oh! you bestow victory (victory is her form) abhaye = Oh! you remove fear from the devotees' minds {that kind of godess Paarvati's light is dwelling in my heart} 2. aham = I am kalaye = meditating avagati = (and ) understanding hrudi = in my heart iti = that vapuhu = in my body abhaye = due to the fearlessness (protection offered by godess) nija = actual sukham = bliss udayati = is dawning anu+padam = in every step (or every moment and walk of my life) sama+ de = Oh! godess, you bestow impartiality, evenness in us dama + de = Oh! godess you bestow self-command, firmness of mind (drawing the mind away from evil deeds or curbing its evil propensities;) vima + de = Oh! godess you do not have pride, intoxication, ardent passion Pramade = Oh! the (at the same time are in) a state of carelessness brought about by an over-inflated sense of self-importance 3. Oh! the one who has ranjani = ranjani named raaga = tune/musical raaga nilaye = as abode! iha = Having known you this way (I am ) vijaye = dwelling in victory (that) aham = I am Sachchidaanandaihi = sat+chit+aanandaihi = the eternal truth and bliss. vi+jaye = Oh! the vitorious one! vi+male! = Oh! the purest one [mala = impurity] vi+nute! = Oh! the one you are praised alot vanite = Oh! the (divine) lady!
