Guest guest
Jaya Guru Datta, dearest fellow devotees: The response to our initiative of reaching out to 100 devotees who would do 1000 times chanting per day has been spectacular! We have 111 devotees committing to this initiative of 1000 per day! It shows the pure and genuine devotion and love we all have towards our Sadguru Deva, who is the very embodiment of Compassion! Through His grace all things are possible! As we move forward in this chanting, please note the following points: 1. If any of you are still interested in giving your name into this "1000 per day" initiative, you can still join. We do not need to stop at 100 or 111. The more we do, the better it is, naturally. 2. The intent of this initiative is to ensure reaching our set goal of 64 lakhs (6.4 million times) by May 24th, by actively involving devotees with definite goals to each. So, as we do chanting each day, one may do less on a day and make up with more the next day. As long as one ensures an average of 1000 per day, our objective is served. We need not feel guilty or bad for doing less on a day, because chanting the divine name should be a joyous experience, a freedom thing, and guiltiness has no place! However, doing it with a discipline is definitely the best thing to do. 3. As we do japa, please note that you STILL NEED TO REPORT your count on every Thursday to japayagna, or call 732-985-0880 (in USA). We will NOT automatically put 1000 per day under your name, ....because we will not know the exact count from you (while the average could be 1000 per day), and also some of us, for any unavoidable personal reasons, may do much less (or may do much more!). Please STILL report your count on a weekly basis, on every Thursday. It is a wonderful thing to be "simply" a part of this Datta family. It is a meaningful journey, with HIS supervision! With His grace, may we all Follow His words and Follow Him to the Absolute! With all prostrations to Sri Guru Deva and to one and all....
