Guest guest
Namaste! Ananda Yogi Thanks for such a warm welcome. Now I feel at home here. Here I will respond to bits and pieces of your letter. > Ganesha is unique in Hinduism itself as all 'fractions' Honour the > Elephant-headed god. That seems like a wonderful point of unity for Hindus and all others who know God through form Ganesha. Ganesha is seen by many as the BIG Friend who helps out one in time of troubles and also provide Guidance besides removing the obstacles. Like I said, I felt like God was guiding me on my recent move. Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna concluded that a sincere devotee can progress spiritually no matter what faith s/he follows. Keeping > an open mind and learning from the inspired masters will be one sure > way to enhance this spiritual development. I like the open mind part. Thanks again. Blessings. Guest guest
Namaste Bill > Thanks for such a warm welcome. Now I feel at home here.> Very pleased to hear that. This is only a small group. Our Tantrism group is more active and has 10x memebers. Please feel free to join that if you wish. Here I will respond to bits and pieces of your letter.> > > Ganesha is unique in Hinduism itself as all 'fractions' Honour the > > Elephant-headed god.> > That seems like a wonderful point of unity for Hindus and all others who know God through form Ganesha.> The Hindus belive in the concept of 'Unity through Diversity'.. As such it is said that all paths lead to the same summit and "to each thier own" is the motto. However to REALISE the aspect of GOD one must see the UNITY in the ALL and recognise that "GOD" is beyond description and mortal understanding and is not seperate from existance. Therefore GOD can be seen as a notion representing the 'within' and 'without' of the ALL 'that is and is not'. We call that Brahman and the Muslims call it Allah. It is said that the water is know my many names and yet it is H2O. Hindusim dates back to several thousand yesars and it is fair to say that over this period it has grown and adopted many ideas. Despite that the core values and traditions remain. Ganesha is unique in that all fractions retained the central identity with Him. .. >Keeping an open mind and learning from the inspired masters will be one sure way to enhance this spiritual development.> > I like the open mind part. Thanks again.> Yes keeping an open mind helps alot. Mind you Hinduism is a complex religion. ... and Tantrism is even more complex. The irony of it all is the term "Tat Twam Asi" (Thou Art That) - That which you seek resides within. "Know Thyself" is the yoga-path to self-realisation. Ah! Very interesting subject - that yoga bit...hmmm. Take Care Om Shanti Ananda Yogi
