Hello, It's Bill again. I wanted to say that in America we have a

title for Yeshua(Jesus) called Lord of the Dance. And am I right in

understanding there are images of Ganesh that echo the depiction of

Shiva Nataraj? I thought I had seen one like this before.

The name Yesu is quite popular in Kerala (INDIA) and I think Yeshua

could have some common bearings with Krishna (Chris-na!!). Krishna

loved to dance and play his flute. Nadaraja (Natajaja) simply

means 'King (Raja) of Dance (Nada). Shiva as Nada-raja is a

symbolic jesture of the Cosmic Dance - an explanation of the Quantum

Physics.

There are images of Ganeshna dancing and there is one in Nitin's

article on Ganesha (an excellent article I must add) at -

http://www.hindupaintings.com/ganesha.htm

We are happy to have Nitin with us as a member.

Alobar is well versed on Ganesha and I am sure he will enlighten us

with some perspective of Ganesha the Dancer.

Om Shanti

Some things in life I find very strange. I first heard of Ganesh about

20 years ago. There was no internet in those days & most of my friends &

colleagues were ignorant of Ganesh. I picked up bits & pieces of myth &

legend here & there. Somewhere along the way I became more knowledgeable, but

in my mind I am still a simple student. So when you said I was well versed in

Ganesha, I immediately looked around to see who you might be talking about.

After a pause, I accept that you mean me. Not sure well versed fits, but I

have collected lots of oddments over the years & am more than happy to share.

On my Tarot consultation table, I have 2 statues of Ganesh. One seated

& one dancing on one foot. I was once told that when Ganesh is seated, he is

seeing to it that karma is enacted. But when he is dancing, karma is

suspended. Supposedly not good for long term growth to have the dancing

Ganesh around the home. If family member are blocked from perceiving their

karma, they do not learn as quickly. But sometimes one's life is so out of

balance that one cannot perceive how one creates karma. It appears that shit

just happens. By calling on Dancing Ganesh, the karmic buffering can cease (at

least foe a while) so that one can have some quiet time in which to find

center. Karma is not (IMO) dissolved or forgiven. Just put aside for a

while until the person is better able to take on their karmic obligations in a

much more conscious fashion.

There are probably many other lessons which can be gleaned from

contemplation of Dancing Ganesh & even more from dancing with him, I tend to

work with the karmic lessons I outlined above.

Thanks Alobar for the humerous intro.. - who needs the internet when

one is in Tune with Ganesha - the revealer of the past and the

future. A Gana is in touch with the ALL Knowing One. You are Blessed

are gald that you are with us to share these knowledge that is parted

to you by Vinayager.

Tell us what you know so that we can learn more for He comes to the

Thanks Ananda Yogi for mentioning the great site with the dancing

Ganesh images. I loved this. I especially liked the bright colourful

ones. They seem to me to be very joyful and energetic.
