What I meant to say below is that in each writing, the Ganapati

Atharva Seersha Upanishad, and the letter to Colossae, God is shown

as being mysterious or invisible and also manifest in a form. Also,

this form is the embodiment par excellence of either the Maha Vakya

(THOU ART THAT) in the case of Ganesh or the Tetragrammaton (I AM) in

the case of Yesu. This is all.

The main upanishad, which reads as below, extols the glory of Lord

Ganesa, contains Sri Ganesa Gayatri and describes how the greatest of

all yogis would meditate on Him:

"Prostrations to You, the leader of the ganas; Thou art the

embodiment of the Maha Vakya 'Thou art That'; Thou art the one and

only Creator, Supporter and Dissolver of this Universe; Thou art the

Brahman permeating everything manifest; Thou art none other than the

eternal Brahman.

I liked everything above. This reminded me alot of Jesus too. I see

Ganesh and Yesu to be very much like each other. I think that without

disrespecting Hindusim or Christianity there can be bridges of

understanding built through the Ganapati Atharva Seersha Upanishad

and through the Christian letter to Collossae. There are alot of

common patterns in how both gods are described.
