Guest guest
Does anyone know any good stories about Ganesh other than how he lost his head or how he lost his tusk? I would love to hear them. Thanks, Bill

Thanks, > Bill =================== Hi Bill, I don't know about others but I can tell you of one experience I had which completely opened my eyes to the great powers of our Beloved Lord: Last year some time, I fasted, made offerings and meditated on "Om Gum Ganapati Yai Namaha", 108 times per sitting each morning and evening. Around the 38th to 44th nite, the altar on top of a bookshelf was on fire with flames up to the ceiling. I hadn't realised it as I was in deep meditation still chanting away within the soul. However the smell of smoke, burning wood and my hubby's shouts shook me out of my 'connective state' which was completely at the time 'indisconnective' with the outside. In physical paranoia, we doused the altar and bookcase with buckets of water till the smoke subsided. To my immense surprise upon examining the altar and the bookcase, Nothing was burnt or destroyed. Of course the culprit, a candle was out and wet with everything else. The bookcase had smoke stains but was not burnt. The ceiling had some black stains too but wasn't burnt either. Still wondering to this day how the flames got up to the ceiling.. When I went to the bathroom, where only one of the 2 sets of lights worked for all 3 years at our place, the 2nd one came on automatically! Upon returning to mop up the water from the bookcase, altar and carpet below, I was sure I saw Lord Ganesh smile from His place of Honor on the altar. It was at that moment when I felt a Great Presence and saw several pairs of astral white clothed feet running around my place (no noise of course). Since then, I've never had occasion to look back on anything or miss anything in life. Jai Ganesa! SY Zenith
