Guest guest
Just wanted to mention how Ganesh keeps popping up in my life. I stumbled across this book called ONCE UPON AN ELEPHANT, which I started reading just after finishing the play called A PERFECT GANESH. I keep running into these books at work, Barnes & Noble. Anyway, this book by Ashok Mathur, has got me in stitches. It is one of the most well-written modern books I have come across. I usually stick to the classics. For more info on this book check out: http://www.ucalgary.ca/~amathur/ http://www.ucalgary.ca/~amathur/contents.html Also, Ganesh has made his way once again onto the Big Screen. The other night I was with a friend who knows about Ganesh and we were watching MOULIN ROUGE. I kept feeling like somehow Ganesh was in this movie. At one point a character mentioned something about 'all obstacles being removed' and then I just knew it. I leaned over and told my friend this. Within two seconds of me saying this the scene changed and there on the screen was a HUGE IMAGE OF GANESH. Wow! And he was a strong presence throughout the remainder of the film. I hope me mentioning these apearances of Ganesh in the media or popular culture is not taken as disrepect. I think in all these cases Ganesh is treated with particular interest and even dignity. Yours truly, Bill
